Clerk’s Report dated 28th October for 3rd November 2022 Meeting – Agenda Item No.8
ALLOCATION OF EQUIPMENT
The three benches and one bin have now arrived. It now needs to be resolved where these are going to be placed. Councillor Ellen Smith has requested one of the benches for the playpark.
SPEED SIGN – UPDATE
The Council’s insurance Company, Gallagher has agreed to give us the sum of £2,200 to replace the broken speed sign that was hit by a vehicle. It needs to be resolved which speed sign to purchase as soon as possible due to the traffic passing through the village with more dangerous weather conditions.
FINANCES
I have produced an October 2022 reconciliation which I will give all members of the Council at the meeting on 3rd November 2022. I am working on the budget for next year’s precept.
PLAYPARK
I visited HSBC Bank to open a Playing Field/playpark bank account as we had an account with them previously. I will now start the process. I had keys cut for the changing rooms for Councillor Ellen Smith and will give her a folder with details of the playpark.
VILLAGE SIGN
The top of the sign is being reconditioned. Just the cost of materials amounting to £200.00. This will help our budget. RDR have promised to fix this onto the post as soon as it has been completed.
THAMES MEADOW DRIVE
I haven’t had any more updates about Thames Meadow Drive, but I will keep pursuing this.
BROKEN BENCHES IN CHURCHYARD
This will be resolved soon.
UNMARKED GRAVE
There is a grave on the far side of our cemetery that someone has placed a rose bush and an angel. I Put a notice on the grave with the Hogsthorpe Parish Council contact details. I informed them that all graves must be registered. I gave one month’s notice. So far no one has contacted us.
