One asked about information from the speed camera as she was concerned about the speed of traffic through the village. It was suggested that John Midgley could maybe get in touch with Kerry to try to locate the readings. Addition to minutes – I have the data and will share it next public meeting
One asked about the situation with the willow tree in the churchyard. It was explained to them it was an item on the agenda to be discussed at the council meeting

92. Notes of the last two meetings to be approved as minutes
Minutes from meeting 8 Nov 2021 were approved

No district or county councillors present
Mary Banks reported that village hall continues to use the main hall only
Mary Banks reported no problems with Goodwin charity their next meeting is Monday 6 Dec 2021
95. Financial matters
None
96. Xmas Tree
Due to nobody being able to erect a tree in a safe manner it was decided that no tree would be purchased this year, but this is a matter that needs looking into in good time for next year.
97. Willow tree in Churchyard
2 quotes have been given for the works
It was decided to go ahead as soon as possible with a quote from Lockwood Tree Care Services at £3,865.00. This includes making the tree safe and everything taken away and leaving the churchyard tidy. Also it includes the felling of the lime tree at the entrance and grinding the lime stump. Paul Smith to contact the contractor to start work as soon as possible.
98. Churchyard footpath
No further work done on this since last meeting
99. Cemetery Fees
Uplifted by 40%. The new prices agreed by the council. To come into effect from January 1st 2022
100. S106 Agreement
No news from ELDC on this matter. Need to keep this on agenda for future meetings
101 Matters arising from Playpark meeting
No meeting took place due to insufficient members attending
102. T. Smith Statement
Mr Smith declined to give his statement as he wished a full council to be present. He said he would give his statement at the next full meeting- February 2022

104. To consider new clerk applications
3 applications had been received. Tim Smith and Kay Bingham (staffing committee) had seen the CVs.
Paul Smith had arranged for 3 people to be on the interview panel, (2 clerks from other parishes and a district councillor), Paul Smith arranging interview dates and village hall availability.
105. Complaint made by previous clerk (Kerry Stafford)
The council had been made aware that Kerry Stafford had raised a complaint about 2 present councillors to the monitoring officer. We have no further information as to what it is about.
106. To consider complaint raised by Kath Hayes and Les Wildman.
Tim Smith advised that he and Amanda Green would both be making statements at the next meeting regarding this issue – February 2022
Addition to the agenda.
A complaint has been made from Mrs Nock, regarding an incident that happened in the graveyard on 24th November 2021. Chairman and Paul to write a letter to the lady as a way of apology. This needs to be done urgently
