Minutes Of Meeting Of Hogsthorpe Playing Fields Committee Held On Wednesday 5th June 2019

1. Minutes of meeting of 3rd April 8th May 2019 were approved and signed by the Secretary (Chairman not present)
2. Report from Secretary/Treasurer
a) Statement of accounts will be reported next month for the quarter ending 31st May
b) Payment of accounts was approved for £115.00 for flooring and £328.38 for chainsaw repair and playpark equipment paint.
3. Maintenance
a) Kitchen is now complete and ready for use and disabled handrail fixed. Still need fire extinguisher and door grill servicing.
b) Playpark painting of equipment – paint now ordered – will be repainted in the next couple of weeks
c) Grasscutting – KH had spoken to contractor about finishing off the grasscutting – he asked for extra time as his father had died suddenly.
d) Playing field sign – LW looking into this. Will be fixed before Summer fete.
4. CCTV
PS had been trying to get the old equipment fixed up and had been putting in cables in the newly completed and cleaned kitchen. He was asked yet again to leave it alone. LW has now ordered a contractor to do the whole job and will be completed on the 19th June in time for the summer fete.
KH is in the process of putting in a policy and procedure document.
5. Fundraising & Events
a) Village fete organisation was just about complete. Still working on getting more volunteers for the day – distribution asking for help through the school and by circulating to residents. Next meeting 18th June at Ingleby House.
b) Car boot events – again disappointing with only two (committee members) with stalls. However, they had a good profit even though it was raining. This will take some time to get off the ground but will hopefully grow as time goes on.
c) Advertising of events – banners and posters done. VW not present to report.
6. Future Plans
KH will be applying for further grants once the fete is out of the way.
NCS have again offered a youth group – KH to investigate for picnic area planning/implementation.
