Playing Field Committee Report
Cllr Ellen Smith (Playpark Chair person) noted the following
The Kings Coronation event had been a success and raised £80.
Media bodies are now going well – it is now on Facebook, will be on Next Door social media
The next car boot is 14th May 2023 at 12 noon – set up at 11 am. Fliers are being distributed
Locks were again glued up.
The instructions for the CCTV are missing – to be tracked down via internet
A big ‘thankyou’ was given to Elaine Carter who makes wonderful cakes for the car boots and gives all profit to the Playing Field.
Grasscutting – it was noted that old grass was still left on the field – contact to be made with Robert Aldrich
Talks were being held with the Swift Junior Football club regarding the football pitch and changing room facilities. Phil Joyce offered to look at the changing rooms.
It was still planned to have a picnic area but manpower and resources were scarce.
Matthew Smith will look at the tiles on the changing room roof.
THERE IS A HUGE NEED FOR EXTRA PEOPLE TO BECOME INVOLVED AND BE PART OF THE PLAYPARK COMMITTEE IN ORDER THAT FURTHER PLANS CAN BE PUT IN PLACE.
